Classes are sold per person and start at 6:30 PM (price varies per class)

Join us for our upcoming season of Cooking Classes!  Most are taught by our owner, Carol Huntsberger, who not only invites you to have a great time, but she has been in the "fish business" quite a while now (15 years), and she is a wealth of knowledge.  Come hungry, and get ready to have some FUN! 

We will have an ongoing series of classes, so if you can’t make one, you will have another opportunity!

This is THE CLASS for those of you who are ready to learn how to fillet a fish. This class is not for the faint of heart! This intensive, HANDS ON Class we will show you how to break down fish from nose to tail. $100.00

Bring your RUBBER BOOTS and Filet Knife, we will provide the gloves! This class will be taught in our Wholesale Cutting Room, not many get the opportunity to see where our amazing fishmongers break down thousands of pounds of fish daily, this is a real treat!

Salmon and Lox Brunch Class

The name says it all!  Oysters, oysters, and more oysters, and we’re offering during Saturday Brunchtime! It’s a great way to start your Saturday!  In this class we are going to learn by doing - we'll explore what different species of oysters look and taste like, including the influence of terroir on their flavor and texture as we master the technique for getting these foreboding creatures open.  You will also hear why these bivalves are a great choice for health and environmental reasons and are fully sustainable when farm-raised. You'll walk away the best, most knowledgeable shucker you know.

This is our 5th year hosting this comprehensive class. We will share some of Quality Seafood's and Blue's (our amazing soup maker) famous soup recipe's (hello chowder!), and review the varying techniques of roux. You will leave this class ready to wow your friends and family with the tools to make everything from a Light Creamy Chowder to a Dark and Sumptuous Gumbo, plus you will learn the techniques for making bases and gravies of all kinds.

Calling all lobster lovers! This is the perfect “day after” Valentines Day event! Join us for a BRUNCHTIME lobster class! Learn how to clean and cook this delicacy so you can have your own lobster lovers feast at home.   There’s more to love about lobster than cold rolls and hot butter: this fun comprehensive Claw to Tail, we class will explore delicious, fresh ways to enjoy lobster. You will learn to prepare and serve inspired dishes featuring New England’s most-famous crustacean, answering your questions and sharing lots of lobster cooking tips and resources.  Seats for our cooking classes are limited, so early reservations are recommended.

 SCALLOPS IN THE SUMMER

Our Scallop class is really something special. This class you will see what a LIVE scallop looks like in the shell! There are a variety of cooking techniques for cooking scallops, and our owner Carol is the BEST at cooking these beautiful bivalves. You will have a BLAST in this class! We hope to see you there!
