Snow Crab
Also known as “queen crabs,” snow crabs are harvested from the cold waters of the North Atlantic and North Pacific oceans. Members of the spider crab family, snow crabs are prized for their sweet, delicate flavor, snowy-white meat and tender texture. They’ve been commercially harvested since the 1960s and can grow up to 5 lbs in weight and 2 feet in length.
Easy to prepare and cook, snow crab is high in protein and low in fat and calories. Versatile enough to be used in appetizers, salads, entrees, soups and sandwiches, it also adds an elegant touch to even simple dishes.
